Dow: a valid first trade, then no follow-through

The Dow had two conditional paths before New York. The lower branch developed: price trapped the Outside H8 high, the Open Box pushed down and a continuation trap gave the first short. A later attempt to extend the move did not follow through.

Follow the decision.

01 / CONTEXT

The market was deep and bearish, but a trap low could still have produced an upside move. TC waited to see which branch developed.

02 / DECISION

The first continuation short followed the high trap and reached the low-of-day area. An 11:00 second-leg short followed an 8H outside breakdown.

03 / REVIEW

The second attempt lacked follow-through and TC reported cutting it roughly break-even, then ending the day. A sound thesis did not justify holding a trade after its immediate behaviour changed.
